Billingford Parish Council

I set out in early 2017 to get a few villagers together in the Hall and have a bit of fun. With the help of my 4 fellow question setters, some also doubling up at the events to keep me in order, keeping the score and serving mince pies and sausage rolls at Xmas, we held 2 events each year in 2017, 2018 and 2019.  The events planned for 2020 had to be cancelled for obvious reasons, but on 4th December 2021 the 7th Billingford Quiz took place in the Village Hall. 6 teams attended totalling 29 adults and 4 Under 16s.  A new team, The Beck Farm Bandits, came out top with regular attenders, The Village Interlopers, coming a close second place.   
The first event saw 5 teams attend and in the subsequent 5 events, 6 or 7 teams have attended with 4 different winners.  I trust you will see from the questions we do this for fun, it is not an IQ test or University Challenge.  I hope you enjoy having a go at the historical questions and if you need any answers, or indeed have any comments to make, then email me at alake015@btinternet.com    Hopefully we may see you at the next event, all you need is a team name and £2.00 per person to cover costs.  Remember, under 16's are free and bring your own food and drink.  Good quizzing.  
The next Quiz Date has been set for Saturday 6th April at 7.30 p.m. in the Village Hall.  The minimum number per team is one and the maximum is six.  As stated above, cost is £2.00 per son, under 16's are free and bring your own food and drink.  Teams will be given the chance to write the general knowledge questions for Round 8.  Email your Team Name and question to Arthur Lake in good time.  If you do not have a question it does not matter, just bring your team.  If you do not have a team, come along and join one.
